Fire In The Sky

I noticed the most beautiful and vibrant sky as I drove home tonight. The setting sun lit up the horizon like fire.

I kept thinking to myself, "I have to find a place to pull off and capture this wonderful view". As I drove past the usual cluttered buildings and billboards, I was sure I wouldn't find a focal point before the moment had passed.

I've driven past The Church at Pinnacle Hills hundreds of times, but when I drove past it tonight I knew I had found the spot. The site was stunning and I hoped I could capture what I was seeing and do it justice.

I was really pleased how these shots turned out. I did very little post processing, the color is just as I captured it. I added a slight vignette and boosted the contrast.

Nice capture. Every time I come up with an idea for a shot of these, I either change my mind or have bad sky. I think I like the first one better.

Thanks Brian, the first was my favorite as well.
I've never been inspired to photograph these before, but all the elements seemed to come together and I couldn't pass it up.
